Amendola family from Fiumefreddo Bruziio Cosenza

[gianfranco444]

I have been researching my family history as a hobby for the last 10 years . I have been able to trace my family back to about 1720 from civil registry records . I would like like to go back even further but am not sure where to look next. I have been told that the local Chuch may have records that go further back , but I am not sure. If any body knows how I could continue my search beyond 1720 where I only have a name with no exact date of birth .
I would apreciate any help.

Thank you
