On this marriage document document, do I understand it right that Antonina's parents are unknown?
Does this mean that she was adopted?
Thank you,
Diane

Re: Marriage document
Hi Diane
There are two Antonina's in the record. The groom's mother is the Antonina who was of unknown parentage and therefore there is no maiden name or surname given for her. His father was Rocco Sanfilippo. The bride, Antonina Serio, was the daughter of deceased Francesco Serio and living Rosalia Amato.

Re: Marriage document
The record just states that Antonina, the bride, was of this above city, referring to Monreale. No info concerning whether her parents resided there.
