Dima — Zinga, Casabona.

Post by gascot »

Maria Faustina Dima was born c. 1819 to Antonio Dima and Caterina Tallarico. She had a brother Giuseppe who was born c. 1827.

She married Giuseppe Iacino and had two daughters, she died on 24 Dec. 1889
(https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... cat=730591). (all in Zinga) Maria Faustina's earliest known child was born c. 1851, so her marriage cert definitely isn't among the public records on FS, so no bother there.

Giuseppe Dima was married to Mariassunta Sisia on 21 June 1868
(https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... cat=730591) and the marriage certificate says both Antonio and Caterina were already dead by then. He died in November 1879
(https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... cat=730591).

I'm looking for documents relating to her parents, Antonio especially. I know Caterina was born c. 1795 so her birth certificate is way out of the question, I'm more looking for death certificates for her and her husband. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I'm aware this is already toeing the line of FamilySearch's cutoff date so, if nothing can be found because the dates are earlier than what's publicly available online, it can't be helped.

Earlier death records are available for Comune of Casabona [of which Zinga is a village] in the records for Catanzaro on Family search. The records for 1820-1865 are viewable only at a Family History Center or an affiliated library.

Giuseppe Dima was a widower in 1868 when he married with Mariassunta Sisia. He was married earlier to Filomena Sisia according to the Publication of Banns in June 1868. Perhaps you can find the allegati or processetti for the 1868 marriage which would would contain her death act and also contain the death acts of his parents.

Pubblicazione:
#3 - bottom left
Mention of his first wife is at the top right of the record.
