looks like D'Guardo---but we can not find this family name in Marineo or in Ogliastro (oggi bolognetta), Palermo, Sicilia/ checked birth, death, marriage records

I'm reading Antonina di Quarto. The name does appear in Palermo as Di Quarto. What I would do is look for the original birth record as it will be much clearer than the extract.
