Online Italian sites in english.

[Migazzi]

If you know where your ancestors are from. (Trentino) Is there any way to get just photo copies of Birth, death, and marriage information without paying the 50 euros for "Certificates" So many countries have online sites in English, that you can find and download your information from, but I have not been able to discover any such sites for Italy? Also I was told that as of 4 years ago, everything went from the local parishes to the county archives so you can no longer go to the village and get the information from the priest or pastor. Can you go to these archive sites in person and get photocopies? Thank you for any information you might have.

You can visit the county archives (Archivio di Stato) in Trentino. While there may be a fee for official certificates, you might be able to request photocopies of the original records for a lower fee or even for free, depending on their policiespapa's scooperia
