Looking for information on Lucia Licciardello, born about 1865, Catania, Sicily, died 9/5/1915, Auburn N.Y.
Married Salvatore Grasso, born 8/9/1858, Mascali, Catania, Sicily. Marriage probably in Sicily. Death information unknown, perhaps in New York.
I believe Lucia arrived in the United States in 1912 on the SS Sant' Anna, traveling possibly with some of her children.
If anyone has come across this couple in their research, I would thank you for a heads up!
Thanks
Lucia Licciardello

Re: Lucia Licciardello
Lucia Licciardello atto di notorietà
Apparently she was not registered in the municipality.
Her birth record was not found because it was not written or because her birth was not declared by her parents.
She was then declared to be approx. 18 years of age. So, no exact birth date.

Ship manifest. 9th October 1912. Line 12
She travels with 2 daughters an 1 son.
Agata, 19
Rosaria, 16
Santo, 14
But they seem to be crossed off.
So perhaps they did not travel.

Re: Lucia Licciardello
Arrival manifest for Lucia Licciardello and some of her children in 1912, on the Sant'Anna.
Lines 12 - 17..
However, Luci Licciardello and two of her children, Santo Grasso and Rosaria Grasso are crossed out. Either they did not sail, or are recorded somewhere else on the ship's manifest.
On lines 16 and 17 are listed Agata Grasso and Agata Tarrisi with a bracket, indicating they are the same person. She DID sail, and there is a numerical annotation indicating she began the naturalization process.

Here is the manifest for Lucia Licciardello and her son, Santo Grasso, sailing in 1912 on the San Guglielmo
Lines 14 and 15.
Leaving Daughter Rosaria in Aci Castello.

Re: Lucia Licciardello
Yes I do apologize for the late reply. I am only an occasional researcher into my family history! But the help given here has helped me understand some things, such as a shipping manifest, that I struggled with previously.
Again, my sincerest thanks.
