Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano
G'day all, I have contacted Luigi PAIANO and provided significant and detailed information to support my application under the rule of 1948. Grandmother was born in Italy, father was born in Italy in 1947, grandmother was still an Italian citizen when I was born. Very simple stuff.
I received a ...

Re: 1948 case help
I have prepared documents for 1948 cases involving about 100 people with different lawyers and none of them requested a "non rinuncia" check. They only asked for evidence of naturalization of a) the Italian emigrant and b) those in the line who were born in one country and married or had children in ...

I am glad things worked out.argentuban wrote: 21 Dec 2020, 23:58 Sorry for being so late to respond, and hope you are safe. We found the record. Issue was he didn't get his birth registered until they needed to, and that wasn't until he was 19.

Re: Grandmother born in Argentina to Italian parents--need her birth certificate.
Hi,
My grandmother, Teresa Massetti, was born in Argentina in 1898. Her parents arrived there in 1897 from Italy and stayed in Argentina for several years before returning to Italy. I can find zero documentation for her birth.
In my experience US naturalization records can help a lot in ...

Re: Getting documents from Argentina
Anyone else have experience with this? I’m using an attorney there and the state of San Juan is sitting on the last two documents I need. It’s got me worried that I won’t get them.
I have recently obtained about 60 documents from San Juan for a 1948 lawsuit involving 16 people from there. The ...

This looks like Teresa here. It says that she was born in the South Sandwich Islands, South America on 28 May 1898: Her mother was Caterina Croce: https://www.ancestry.com.au/genealogy/records/teresa-massetti-24-2wtnd5?geo_a=t&geo_s=us&geo_t=au&geo_v=2.0.0&o_iid=41019&o_lid=41019&o_sch=Web ...

There is a only one Vito Grimaldi with Argentine tax ID number. CUIT is 24-44176614-5. That seems to correspond to a DNI number issued after 2000 to a person born or ...
