I distinctly recall hearing four syllables, so I'm going with "mescu Yanu" or "mesca Yanu".

"Meschinu" just doesn't fit the phonetics that I recall.

It might not have been a speech impediment, just a unique way of speaking or perhaps mistakes like Spoonerisms or the kind of mix-ups Archie is famous for.

If that's the case, any other guesses as what the appellation was and what it meant?
